On the doorstep of Dublin, Maynooth is an ideal base from which to explore the cultural and entertainment treasures of Ireland's capital city. The important historical and cultural attractions of the Boyne Valley and Glendalough are within easy reach.

Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the proximity of international-standard golf courses at Carton House and the K Club, and an abundance of challenging courses within 30 minutes' drive of the campus.

The renowned trio of Kildare racecoures - Curragh, Punchestown and Naas - are each less than an hour's drive from Maynooth, and there is also easy access to Leopardstown and Fairyhouse. GAA fans will find Maynooth a convenient base from which to travel on to Croke Park for hurling and football championship deciders.
