Recreational options abound at Maynooth Campus. For sports enthusiasts, there are two fine sports halls and an extensive weights room on the north campus. Also on the north campus are numerous playing-fields, including an all-weather pitch, and two outdoor tennis courts.

The swimming-pool is located on the south campus, where there is also a range of playing-fields as well as four outdoor tennis courts.

For those with more leisurely tastes, there are beautiful parkland walks on the south campus. Tranquil gardens provide a haven for those seeking time out from hectic schedules.

The National Science Museum is located on the south campus.
